CWP 74 from twitchers gate:  7.30-8pm.  1 Great White Egret, Nightingale, Garden Warbler, Reed, Sedge and Cetti’s Warbler singing, 4 Common Tern, c20 Swift over.  Tom Mabbett

Shorncote reed beds: 7 Common Tern. 2 Cetti’s, 2 Reed, and 8 Sedge Warblers. 5 Reed Bunting. 5 Swallow. 3 Gadwall. 2 Shelduck. 3 Grey Heron. Cuckoo. (seen and heard). 2 Stock Dove. Buzzard. 3 Chiffchaff. 3 Lesser Whitethroat. 3 Blackcap. 4 Broad bodied Chaser. Hornet. John Fletcher.

The colony of Black headed Gull on Cokes Pit has done well this year. Nigel Pleass has completed a count from the hide of 36 nests with adults sitting, 9 nests with a minimum of 1 chick, 15 nest 2 chicks & 8 nests with 3 chicks.
