Cleveland Lakes:    9 (inc 7 juv)  Shelduck, 124 Mute Swan, 12 Gadwall, 5 Teal, 157 Tufted Duck, 3 Pochard, 60 Red Crested Pochard, 4 Little Ringed Plover, Redshank, 13 Green Sandpiper, Curlew, Great Black Backed Gull, 25 Common Tern, 2 Kingfisher, Yellow Wagtail . Nigel Pleass

Water Vole (Steve Davies)

Thames Path, Castle Eaton: A Water Vole on the Thames kept me occupied for about 30 minutes. It was busy feeding away, with a Moorhen nearby and 2 Sedge Warblers. Also seen, 3 Common Terns, 12 Lapwings, Little Egret, Grey Heron, Reed Bunting, Buzzard, Yellowhammer and a Green Sandpiper heard. Banded Demoiselles, Common Blue and Blue-tailed Damselflies, Mirid Bug species, Meadow Grasshoppers and a Toad.  Steve Davies
