Shorncote:   Common Sandpiper x2,  Little-ringed Plover x2,  Yellow Wagtail x 1, Hobby x 1, Shoveler pair    Laurence Pearce

CWP 74, from north shore.  At dusk and beyond (during bat survey);   Common Sandpiper, Whimbrel, Oystercatcher pair, 20 Common Tern (at last light, left site, presumably to roost elsewhere?), 150 Swift, 50+ Sand Martin, Swallow, 4 Little Egret in the heronry, 3 Pochard, Wigeon, Shoveler, great crested grebe (pair displaying) plus singing Nightingale, Cetti’s warbler, Blackcap, Song thrush, green woodpecker. Adult & juvenile Muntjac. Despite low temperatures, good activity of Soprano Pipistrelle, Common Pipistrelle, Nathusius’ Pipistrelle, Noctule bat, Daubenton’s and Natterer’s bat.
