CWP 29 & 30: During a mid-morning visit to these lakes today, 3 red-head Smew in a close group near the islands in Lake 29 and a male Smew at the western side of Lake 30.  Also on Lake 29 a Kingfisher. (There were several Twitter entries today about the smew.  Max nos. seem to be one pair and 3 redheads in the 30,29,28 complex.  Be aware that 28a has restricted viewing from footpath and is a shooting lake; season ends on 31st). John Grearson.
