CWP 130/132: Pair of Stonechats, 2 Green Woodpeckers, Goldcrest, 10-15 Long-tailed Tits, 30 Linnets, 25 Lapwings, 4 Egyptian Geese, 2 Shovelers, 50 Teal, 15-20 Wigeon, 3 Little Egrets, Little Grebe. 4 or 5 each of Migrant Hawkers and Common Darters, with 2 of the latter alighting briefly on my arm and then on my bike.   Steve Davies

WeBs count at Cleveland Lakes:   4 grey heron, 17 little egret, 86 cormorant, 108 mute swan, 8 greylag goose, 37 great crested grebe, 5 little grebe, 87 mallard, 75 tufted duck, 1 red crested pochard, 98 pochard, 42 gadwall, 139 teal, 1627 wigeon, 46 shoveler, 988 coot, 25 moorhen, 175 lapwing, 2 green sandpiper, 4 herring gull, 21 lesser black-backed gull, 9 black-headed gull and a kingfisher. 3,605 birds in total.     Species passing overhead included meadow pipit, pied wagtail, grey wagtail, siskin and skylark.    Around the site cetti’s warbler, chiffchaff, blackcap, song thrush, redwing and reed bunting.    Personal highlight was a stoat chasing a rabbit right past me on the 68a/b track by the two picnic tables.   Nick Adams
