Shorncote:    11 Little Egrets, 1 Egyptian Goose, 2 Redshank, 5-6 Lapwings displaying, Water Rail calling, fem Sparrowhawk, 1 Kingfisher, 13 Meadow Pipits, 2 singing Skylarks, 4-5 Cetti’s Warbler singing, 2 singing Chiffchaffs, pair Bullfinches, 3 Linnets, 20 + Reed Buntings.   Jon Mercer

Ashton Keynes garden sightings:  female Siskin visited a sunflower heart feeder, the first for the winter (we have not had Siskins or Redpoll at the feeders this winter although both species are in the area, obviously finding enough natural food for their needs).   Sparrowhawk male still visiting daily.  Also 5 Blackcap, 12+ Reed Bunting and 10 Goldfinch present.   John Grearson

Cleveland Farm:  462 shoveler (surpassing February’s record count), 473 wigeon, 813 teal, 22 pintail, 9 mute swan, 81 tufted duck, 38 mallard, 2 red crested pochard, 7 great crested grebe, 1 little grebe, 18 gadwall, 168 coot, 2 moorhen, 45 pochard, 21 goldeneye, 4 Canada goose, 2 shelduck, 1 oystercatcher, 5 green sandpiper, 1 lapwing, 3 water rail, 4 little egret, 4 grey heron, 74 black-headed gull, 2 lesser black-backed gull, 1 herring gull, 1 kingfisher and 12 cormorant.    A total of 2,276 birds     Nick Adams
