Blakehill: Short-eared Owl flew around east of site for half an hour from 3.30pm then disappeared away to the north in the direction of the CWP. Jack Snipe, 17 Common Snipe also 2 more Common Snipe at Stoke Common. c50 Fieldfares, c30 Redwing, Kestrel, 2 Greenfinches, Bullfinch. Robin Griffiths
Lower Moor: Lesser Redpoll by second hide. Kingfisher. 3 Otters playing in water under far bank in front of second hide from 11.30 to 12.00 app until one caught a fish. Bob Philpott, Mike McKee.
Shorncote flooded fields: 15 Little Egret, 1 Heron, 5 Pied wagtails, 100 starlings, 30 BH gulls, 4 Magpies, 1 Pheasant. Huw Jones
Path from S Cerney to just short of hides (Note: access to hides is flooded so wellies needed) 1 Grey wagtail, 1 pair Stonechats, 4 Chiffchaff, 2+ Cetti’s warbler (heard only), 1 Goldcrest, 1 Bullfinch, 1 Reed bunting. Also Wrens, Dunnock, Robin, Blackbird, Blue tits. 200 Lapwings over the quarries. Huw Jones
