CWP 74:   Adult Red necked Grebe viewable from twitchers gate (about 10.45 to at least 13.00).   Feeding by far bank behind and to the right of raft.   Also one from the hide between 16:20 & 16:45.  Other birds included 27 Mute Swans, a Little Egret, 11 Cormorants, 8 Great Crested Grebes, 12 Red-crested Pochards, 56 Wigeon, 20+ Teal, 32 Tufted Duck, 2 Gadwall, 120+ Coot, a Moorhen, 2 Buzzards & 3 Swallows.     Bob Philpott.  Sue and Trevor Clayson.

CWP 68a/b: 1 Adult Red Necked Grebe (from 10.30 to 15.20), 1 Hobby, 1 Jay & 2 Green Woodpecker.  Also 42 Great Crested Grebes, 33 Mute Swans, 20 Cormorants, 12 Tufted Duck, 4 Red-crested Pochard, 3 Mallard, a Pochard, 200+ Coot, 4 Moorhen, 7 Black-headed Gulls, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls & a clump of Shaggy Inkcaps near gate at the Ashton Keynes end of the footpath.   Peter Wright.  Sue and Trevor Clayson. 

Lower Moor:   2 Kingfisher, 2 sparrowhawk m/f,  1 hobby and 4 otters that were fishing on the main lake for over an hour.   Dave Soons

CWP 132: 5 Little Egrets, 2 Grey Herons, Green Sandpiper, Wheatear, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff. 70 Swallows, 30 Linnets and a Grey Wagtail over. Also, a Barnacle Goose with several hundred Greylag Geese flew down to the lake inside the quarry area.   Steve Davies

Blakehill: 8 Whinchats, 3 Stonechats, 4 Wheatears, Redstart, 2+ Siskins over to the SE, Grey Wagtail over to the SE, Goldcrest, 3 Reed Buntings, 6+ Chiffchaffs, a few Meadow Pipits over, constant movement of Swallows over to SE including one very large mixed flock including 3 species of hirundine, c250 Goldfinches, 2 Lesser Whitethroats, 1 Common Whitethroat.   Robin Griffiths
