CWP 126: 2 Green Sandpipers, Common Sandpiper, 30 Lapwings, 3 Egyptian Geese, pair of Red-crested Pochard, Common Tern, 2 Grey Herons, Yellow-legged Gull with 200 Lesser Black-backed and 380 Black-headed Gulls with many juvenile birds amongst them. 2 Reed Warblers, 2 Green Woodpeckers, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 juvenile Treecreepers, juvenile Goldcrest, 2 (noisy) Buzzards, 5 Sand Martins, 6 Stock Doves, 2 Jays, 3 Pied Wagtails in the quarry. Lots of Cuckoo Pints, a couple of Cinnabar moth caterpillars and Pond Skaters on the stream. Highlight was a Kingfisher which flew around the edge of the lake and came to rest on a water height marker just 10-15 yards away.   Steve Davies

Kent End:   Adult and Juvenile Little Ringed Plover.  Also Black-tailed Godwit over flying towards CWP 81.  Stephen Edwards
