Outer Hebrides

Redshank (Bob Philpott)

I have recently returned from a couple of weeks in the Outer Hebrides (second time of visiting) and although the weather was the worst that the locals could remember for this time of year I thoroughly enjoyed the area and the wildlife that is always evident.  All of our B&Bs and the self catering croft were excellent as was the guide, Steve Duffield,  we hired for a day.   Having seen 6 red necked phalarope whilst there I am no longer as jealous of the bird that appeared here while I was away.  If anyone is thinking of visiting this area I am more than happy to provide details of the places we used and visited.   Bob Philpott
