CWP 111b: c8 Common Terns seemingly on nests on the older tern raft plus two or more flying around.   2 Lesser Black-back Gulls have taken up residence on the newer raft; 2 juvenile Grey Herons; Great Crested Grebe with 1 small young visible on its back.    John Durell

Birds recorded today during a survey around CWP 74 and CWP 68a/b, including the Scrape and Reedbed, included;      2 Cuckoos, 5 Cetti’s Warblers, 1 Chiffchaff, 10 Sedge Warblers, 8 Whitethroats, 84 Reed Warblers, 13 Blackcaps, 11 Garden Warblers, 17 Reed Buntings, 18 Great Crested Grebes, 88 Mallards, 13 Tufted ducks, 1 Green sandpiper, 1 Snipe, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 2 Shelducks, 5 Pochards, 37 Mute Swans and 4 Common Terns.   Kim Milsom
