CWP 200: 2 Common Tern, 2 Ringed Plover    Maureen Millar

Waterhay:  Whimbrel 5, Cuckoo 1m,   Keith Perkins

Field by CWP 83:  4 Whimbrel at 17.30. Jon Mercer.

CWP 74: 2 Hobby feeding over the lake and occasionally coming close to the viewing screen. Gulls also feeding over the lake, probably on emerging St Mark’s Flies.  A single Common Tern throughout the afternoon with 4 more arriving around 1700.  Overhead up to 25 Swifts.  Great Crested Grebe which caught a crayfish, managed to remove the claws and then swallow the body whole.    Also present;  Nightingale, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap and Cetti’s Warbler in song and Common Whitethroat lurking near the screen. Little Egret, Lapwing, Herring Gull (imm.) and 2 Gadwall.   Keith Perkins.   John Grearson
