Swillbrook:  During Brown Hairstreak egg count, organised by Robin Griffiths, today.     Kingfishers calling around CWP 46/48.  Also otter tracks and spraints, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, Treecreeper, Goldcrest, 2 pair of Goldeneye, 6 Goosander and 3 Great Crested Grebe.   Blue tit, Great Tit, Chaffinches,  Pheasant, Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon, Cormorant, Grey Squirrel.    Marsh Tit singing by the Swillbrook and pair of long tailed tits with nest material.     Buzzard over CWP 58.   Cream-Spot Ladybird, Small Tortoiseshell, 5 Sightings of Brimstone and 87 Brown Hairstreak eggs found.   (Robin Griffiths, Jane Deacon, Chris Wiltshire, Dave Sims, Bob Philpott).  Stuart Genn.   Dave Kilbey

Keynes Park to Shorncote footpath:   Green Sandpiper, Stonechat (f), Kestrel, Little Egret, 3+ Buzzard, Several Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Linnet and Reed Bunting.  Flock of Canada and Greylag Geese   Peter Wright

As Spring develops migrants will be here within days.  Last year the first Sand Martin was reported in the CWP on 11th March (and already one has been seen this year in the Severn Valley) ,  Wheatears are being recorded on the South coast and Ospreys in South Wales.
