CWP 132: late afternoon/evening.   great white egret, 6 little egret, stonechat and a honey buzzard flying towards the western section!    Mick and Jo Jones

On Kent End this afternoon were a Greenshank (plus a 2nd bird heard calling to the north), Wood Sandpiper, 2 Green Sandpiper, 2 Egyptian Geese plus 3 Yellow Wagtails flying over.    Ian Searle

CWP Waterhay/68 Reedbed:  Green Sandpiper, 4 Buzzard, Sparrowhawk, Tawny Owl, 4 Grey Wagtail, 3 Yellow Wagtail, 13 Meadow Pipit,  2 Cettis Warbler, 16 Reed Warbler, 7 Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, 50+ Blackcap, 70+ Chiffchaff, 8+ Willow Warbler, male Firecrest, 2 Goldcrest & Spotted Flycatcher.   Nigel Pleass, John Wells.

Of interest the male Firecrest was ringed by the CWP ringing group on their constant effort site.  Firecrest is a rare sighting in the water park and is only the second one to be reported since this website started, the other being at Cerney Wick in February.
